Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

This is my paraphrase; For in Christ there is neither circumcision or uncircumcised, neither baptized or unbaptized, neither male or female, neither white, black, brown or what ever color, neither rich nor poor, here in the Gospel we see the first equal rights  program.  God does not see nor care about the outward appearance, He knows all issues flow from the heart. All these physical traits mean nothing to God. Under the Gospel : circumcision and uncircumcised make no difference in the church of Christ, or are any bar to communion with it; nor do they make any alteration in the love and favor of Christ, who is all in all to his people, whether Jews or Gentiles; nor have they any influence at all on salvation, Christ being a common Savior to the circumcised and uncircumcised; nor are they any evidence for or against a person’s being in Christ, or having an interest in him.  Man to some extent filters God through their mind , when it comes to any type of favor, bestowed on us from God. We live in a sensual age, by that I mean society frowns on over weight people, we are flooded with commercials with very attractive people. A well dressed couple coming into your church is better received than a couple who are down  and out, and may not pass the smell test. But praise God he is not man, who is just and fair in all that He does, He is a searcher of the heart. He is sovereign and chooses who’s stoney heart He will write His commandment on.  He is sovereign to choose to quicken and give eternal life, before you say that’s not fair, the question should be way did He save anyone?  If every human being in their natural state was given the option to deny themselves and pick up the cross of suffering and follow Christ,  or continue in their sin, none would  chose  to follow the sovereign God of the Bible.

Rom 3:9 What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin,
Rom 3:10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;
Rom 3:11 no one understands; no one seeks for God.

I didn’t choose,  I was chosen, I was dead in my sins and trespasses and could no sooner responded than a corpse can respond to touch. Dead people are dead, but praise be to God who through the Holy Spirit quicken me , brought me to spiritual life, open my eyes and unplugged my ears, and for the first time I heard and understood the Gospel. Now I’m  a new creation in Christ the old law of captivity to satan  has passed away, I have  new life in Christ.
