Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Cleanse out the old leaven that you maybe a new lump, as you really are unleavened.  For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. ( 1 Corinthians 5:6,7). Just like when leaven is introduced into a leaven free recipe, the results are it permeates the whole recipe.  Respecting neither persons or things,  and is nondiscrimination  with no respect to sound teaching that might be made. Since they were only a few persons that propagated this notion, and but few that received it, at least thoroughly gave into it,  A little sour leaven influences and ferments a large mass, or lump of dough, and makes it of the same nature with it,  So a small error in doctrine, as small as it maybe.  Increases to more ungodliness, and eats as does a canker; and though a few hands maybe first concerned in promoting  it, and but few be infected with it, yet these may soon spread the false doctrine  through the whole society:  therefore errors and false teachers should be nipped in the bud, and stopped in their beginnings, no matter how insignificant soever they and their tenets maybe judged to be. We need Christians who are sound in doctrine to stand in the watchtower, and be guardians over their Church, keeping false doctrines at bay.
