Galatians 6:16 And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.
This rule; But a new creation (vs 15) – The fact that a man is created anew spiritually , or born again, constitutes the real difference between him and other people. This is what Christ requires; this is the distinction which he designs to make. It is not by conformity to certain rites and customs that a man is to be accepted; it is not by elevated rank, or by wealth, or beauty, or blood; it is not by the color of the complexion; but the grand inquiry is, whether a man is born again, and is in fact a new creature in Christ Jesus. I might add Grace, peace and mercy be upon them. Grace because without it no one could be saved, we as sinners are totally dependant on the Grace of a Holy God. We as unregenerate sinners have nothing within our will to seek God. What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.( Romans 3: 9,10) For by Grace you have been saved through faith, it is a gift from God, note Faith is a gift from God, natural man has no saving faith within themselves, it is a gift from God. So as Paul does in many of His epistles open with Grace and Peace, and in that order. For we can never have true peace unless we experience the Grace of God first. This is peace that passes all understanding. Peace when circumstances dictate your should panic. Peace that we can’t fully understand. Mercy is God having compassion on us, we deserve His full wrath, but He has shown mercy instead of judgement. All this according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace with which He has Blessed us in the Beloved. Do you get the picture? It is all of God, What an incredible Gift.
