Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

Could you imagine being a wooly caterpillar inching along on your belly, constrain to the dirt and elements and pretty much defensive. With nary  a thought  of what lies above, until that day you were drawn to your cocoon and metamorphosis takes place. Then some time later you emerge radically changed, your old self is passed away you have a brand new self, and wings to boot. You can now soar to new heights, your perspective has changed, you can see for the fist time,  you are free.  A spiritual metamorphosis that’s place when we are born again, just like Bullfrogs and Butterfly’s;  We who were in a hate relationship with God and with no hope, were drawn to Christ, the Holy Spirit open our eyes and we could see for the first time. This opened us up the all the spiritual Blessing in the Heavenly places. With all spiritual blessings – With the pure doctrines of the Gospel, and the abundant gifts and graces of the Holy Ghost, justifying, sanctifying, and building us up on our most holy faith. All these Heavenly blessing are not some future event, they have been lavished upon us when we were saved, being justified, made right before God by the work of Jesus Christ. We are being sanctified in our daily walk by the Holy Spirit, to the praise and glory of God the Father. We are continually bathed in grace, and the mercy’s of God extend beyond what we deserve. If He was to count our transgressions who could stand?  God hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things, or in this heavenly state, in which life and immortality are brought to light by the Gospel.  This is apparently the preferable sense.  Two of the other five instances where this phrase ” in the heavenly places”  appears in Ephesians have a bearing on it’s meaning here. Christ was raised from the dead and seated  at the right hand of God the Father in the :heavenly places” from where He will govern “all things” for the sake of the Church. Moreover those who have be redeemed  have also been “raised up”  and seated with Him “in the heavenly:”  The benefits that the believers  upon conversion are amazing and these are the Blessing that Paul talks about.
