Ephesians 1:15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,

Greg smiling

I heard of your Faith; Paul did not read about their faith on Facebook, many Christians like to boast of their deeds before men. They keep a resume of all their accomplishments,  they have their reward already. Paul never boasts of His works of faith and neither did the Christians in the Book of Ephesians. Are we seeking to impress men or God? God judges the motive of your heart. Do your good feeds in secret and God will reward you openly. Paul heard of their faith from word of mouth their conduct preceded them. Our testimony will always go before us, so be careful little children how you walk and talk. These people were people of faith, no matter what their circumstance they put their faith in God. And this came back to Paul. There was no TV back then for them to boast, no mega churches to put on multimedia show. The social media has open up a area of self righteousness and boosting to get man’s approval. The Ephesians Christians were ground pounders and lived for God. They did not cover their candles but let the light of Christ shine. They did not have to confess to being a Christian they would have been convicted in a court of law, because of their faith. And their faith produces love, true faith will always produce a heart of gratitude and love towards the saints.  Whether Jew or Gentile, rich or poor, greater or lesser believers, of meaner gifts, or larger abilities; and which love was unfeigned, unconditional,  fervent, active, and laborious;   the evidence of regeneration, that you are a christian and without which a profession, you’re just fooling yourself.  See if we walk by faith in the Spirit we have no need to confess our Christianity, it will be displayed for all to see. If you have to go around convincing people you are a Christian then you need to look at yourself, obviously your walk doesn’t match your talk. Agape love when shared can work miracles and encouragement in the lives of Christians, the more love you show it will comes back a hundred fold. Love is patient, Kind, does not envy or boast, is not arrogant or rude, doesn’t insist on it’s own way,is not irritable or resentful. It doesn’t rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Love hears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endure all things, Love never ends. (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8)
