Ephesians 1:21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Encompass all authority, from Governors to presidents and world leaders all the way up to Good Angles or bad angles from time past to the unforeseeable future, He is not just above, but far above all authority is Jesus, who sits at the right hand of God the Father. Our History books record the names of famous people who have left their mark on society, But His name is far more famous. We have sports figures who have done incredible feats and we honor their name, His one act of dying on the cross for His wayward sheep is far above the most incredible feat. But there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. No other man has lived a sinless life and died for depraved sinners. It is one thing to give your life for a good person. Who would give their life for an enemy who hates you, and wants nothing to do with you. Anything that man has done, or accomplished pales in comparison to the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. Who is the head of the Church, He is their life support, He is the glue that holds the Church together. Encompass all authority, there is no flesh, that can appease the wrath of God against sin. Every name under heaven will bow to the name of Christ. Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2: 7-11)
