Ephesians 3:4, 5 When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
Gentile’s special revelation
Paul is saying when you read and understand what I have written you, we can share in the mystery of Christ. This is a another major aspect in the mystery of God, “Christ coming in the flesh, to do what no man could. The Old Testament’s silence about Paul’s mystery, that is the union of Jews and Gentiles and the formation and revelation of the Church (Body of Christ) Although it was a mystery for the past four thousand years, the idea was not totally absent in the Old Testament, from prophecy and other subtle hints given in scripture. If it was totally obscure Paul would not have said in Romans chapter 4; that the Abrahamic covenant included all who were like faith with Abraham, including the Gentiles. But what was not reveal was the clear God-given Gospel. That a sovereign God predestined man and commissioned Him to share this good news. That the gentile are fellow heirs and members of the same body. What a revelation to be Thankful for. Just as God chose Israel from all the nations , not because they were a more righteous people , but because it pleased God, just as today God still chooses those who lost in their sin before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before him in love, and predestines us for the adoption as sons. All this through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of His will. (Ephesians 1:4,5)
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 1: 24,25)
