Ephesians 3:19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Greg smiling

And to know the love of Christ. That love  is a verb, it shows action. The love of Christ shows God true love He didn’t just tell us He loved us, but He demonstrated His love by sending His Son in the likeness of man, to fulfill the laws requirements and be unjustly crucified on our behave. Bearing our sins and giving us His righteousness, making us justified in the eyes of God. The love of Christ to his own, to his church and people, is special and peculiar; free and Sovereign,  and is everlasting and unchangeable; the greatest love that the world has ever known. We must treasure this in our hearts, it is our safe guard in time of trials. It is our trust in time of doubt. And when we fail it is our guiding faith. To know,  understand and comprehend the love of Christ surpasses all the knowledge comprised by man throughout the ages. The know the love of Christ cannot be taught in our finest colleges, there is not enough books written that could do it justice.

That ye might be filled with all the fulness of God; this is the last petition, and is to be understood, not of a full comprehension of the divine Being, nor of a communication of his divine perfections, nor of having in them the fulness of grace, which it has pleased God should dwell in Christ,  but of the fulness of good things, which we may receive from God in this life; as to be filled with a sense of the love and grace of God. With knowledge of divine things, of God, of Christ, of the Gospel, and of the will of God; and with all the fruits of righteousness.
