Ephesians 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

Now Paul gives us some practical instructions on how we are to live our walk. The first  trait is Humility; ( tapeinophrosunē )  That is having a clear understanding of our lowly estate,   that is  the attitude of  having a humble opinion of one’s self. To harbor pride invites a fall, we have to understand our lowly place and that all we accomplish is by God’s grace. ( 1Peter 5:6  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. The second trait is gentleness ( praotēs ) That is to be  gentle, showing mildness and meekness, and remember meekness is not weakness. The mightiest Man to ever walk this earth, whose very existence  keeps everything in place, walk a meek walk, meekness is power under control. And all this brings change to our lives in the form of patience.  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worked patience.   But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Our walk with The lord has to benefit others and instruct us as well , and learning patience with all it growing pains will conform us to the image of Christ. One of the greatest weakness in the Church today our ability to forbear with one another, nothing hurts the Church more. The foundation of our relationship with one another is Love. We have to remember that as the Church we are the body of Christ, God will tolerate our selfishness only so long. He will not allow schism in the body for His name sake.
