The Twelve Day’s of Christmas ( Day 4)

12 days of Christmas

(Day 4) 12/16/2013  Yesterday got them charged up for the coming week. Joseph was a little disappointed that the court date was December 24Th,  they would not have time to go to Memphis and go caroling with the Sunday School class. The hardest part was Christmas eve was very special for Joseph and Mary, they always got together with their family for fondue and a night of fellowship. It wasn’t going to happen this year, at least half the family would also be in Memphis this Christmas.  “Matthew  2:10″ (To be continued)

Matthew  2:10  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

Very probably before this, their hearts were sad, their countenances dejected, and they greatly discouraged, having taken so great a journey, and as yet to so little purpose. Have you been on life’s journey, yet with little purpose? They had been at Jerusalem, where they expected to have found him that was born king of the Jews. Have you been searching to fill the emptiness in your heart? They had been at court, and conversed with men of the greatest figure and intelligence, and could get no tidings of him. Have you sought advise from the wisest people you know? ; People of all ranks and degrees seemed to be troubled at the account they brought. Does nobody understand your need?; Nobody cared to go along with them to Bethlehem. Do you feel forsaken and your friends don’t care? All these circumstances no doubt were discouraging to them. Are your circumstances causing you to be discouraged?  But as soon as they saw the star their spirits revived. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:4,50) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.(John 1:130  Joy filled their hearts, cheerfulness appeared in their countenances. I can guarantee that joy will fill your heart and you will respond with a cheerful countenance. And they pursued their journey with inexpressible delight, till they came to the place where the illustrious person was they were seeking after. Your life journey will never be the same when you are in Christ Jesus, You now have hope, and a future that is eternally secure.
