Ephesians 4:10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Greg smiling

He (Jesus) Is the same one who descended as He who also ascended. This tells us a couple of things. First that He (Jesus) is divine one nature with God. The Son of God who thought it not robbery to be equal with God, assumed Human nature and suffered for it, thus His divine descent. Who being in that very nature ascended up to Heaven. This prove Christ existence before the foundation of the world. Second thing is this shows his two natures, yet He is but one. This disprove the  Popish notion of the descent of Christ into Limbo or hell.

His ascension was far above all heavens, far above what man could ever in vision, with the naked eye, telescope, or travel into space. Some refer to it as the third Heaven. The Old Testament description of the temple where the holy of holies is found is an illustration of the third heaven, the holiest of all.

Just as He had fulfilled in His incarnation miracle, obedience, suffering, death, and the resurrection from the dead. Who now has ascended to fulfill the things concerning what was foretold after His ascension. Such as being seated at the right hand of God. He now makes intercession for His people. He is subduing people under His authority. He is filling all places being, infinite, immense and omnipresent. He now has resumed His rightful place, He stands upon the earth with all power in Heaven He is fulfilling His duty as the Brides Groom, grooming the church to present it faultless before God. He is now the source of all spiritual power and sustainer of life. To Him be Glory and Honor forever Amen.
