Eph 4:17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord,

Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.

Now this I say, and with confidence in the Lord, that you must no longer walk or have a lifestyle that mirrors the gentiles. Every natural unsaved man’s walk is empty and vanity, in the eye’s of God. Nothing natural man can do can please God because it is done by the power of the flesh. Good is Spirit,  man’s good works are products of the flesh, these works are an abomination to a Holy God. The greatest phalantrist  can not gain favor with God. The Gentiles, prided themselves in what they could accomplish, the many people they have helped. How they are head and shoulders above every one else. We as gentile lavish love on our selves, and are empowered by the praise of men. We are devastated when we don’t get the number of like on our last post. We as gentile are very religious, and what ever god we chose to worship our acceptance is by good works. Religion says what can I do for my god? Christian says look what God has done for me. The Gentile will bow to no one because of  pride. Paul is telling them that the are now redeemed, they have died to the idea that works through the flesh is will please God. They can no longer  go to bed at night and with their mind thinking they have appease their god.
