The Battle with ALS is Over
A tribute post in honor and memory of Greg Lane. He loved his fellow bloggers. “If ever there was a man that was ready to sit and talk to God, it was Greg.”

Greg, please keep your eyes open for me when I get to heaven. I want to give you a real time “heavenly hug.” I am sadden that your time here is over but rejoicing with the heavenly hosts at your arrival into God’s Kingdom.
Knowing you are with Jesus right now brings me happiness but I am so sad at the same time.
My prayer will be with Nita and the rest of your family as they learn how to live here on earth without you. May our Lord bring you peace and comfort.
Thank you for being a part of my “blogging life’ and for teaching me so much about God’s amazing grace.
I love you and will miss you.

Greg is before the throne praising Christ Jesus. This was the goal of his blog and now he is doing it face to face with our Lord. Greg will be missed in the world of blogging, but he isn’t missing this world.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Soli Deo Gloria.
To Greg’s family, may God be with you during this time. I can now stop my daily prayer for Greg, but I will be praying for all of you. Thank you for letting me know that Greg’s pain is over. He had a great sense of humor that came with a great sense of security in the Lord.
He was and is an inspiration to me.

I can’t wait to meet my friend and neighbor in glory. I will leave my link to Greg’s blog up as long as the blog stays up. Please pray for his family.
May the Lord comfort your hearts and bring you close to Him in your time of loss.
May your hearts be comforted knowing the impact Greg had on many of our lives. In the midst of his struggles he encouraged others, shared the Word with those who read his blog, and declared his faith in his Lord through his life’s testimony. May we all thank and praise the Lord for allowing Greg to be used of HIm in such great ways.
Our prayers are with all who survive.

Praise the Lord for Greg’s life and witness, and for the great encouragement he has been to so many people.
Greg, you loved our Lord Jesus so much and it fills me with great joy (and not a few tears) to think you have finally gone home to be with him. Thank you for sharing your life, your struggles and your faith and hope in Christ with me. You truly were a light in this dark world, and I will always be grateful that God sent me to your blog.
Nita, my prayers are with you and your family, and I trust that Christ will strengthen and comfort you all. May you be filled with his grace and peace until you are united with Greg, in Christ, for eternity. In Christ’s love, Sherryn
Thank you all so much for your kind words. Greg is my Dad, and it was very tough to lose him but I know he is rejoicing in heaven. The pastor used Dad’s own words from his blog in the funeral message yesterday. How many people can say they preached their own funeral? That’s amazing! He loved interacting with you all. I will leave his blog online because it contains his voice and I know there are more people who could benefit from his teachings. Dad would have wanted that. Love in Christ, Jennifer.
So sorry for your loss, but may it bring you comfort knowing your Dad’s voice has been preserved for you to revisit when you miss him the most.
You finished your race strong….I can hear the Lord say well done my good and faithful servant. I will keep your family in my prayers. We will miss you!!
What a Mighty God we serve! Greg displayed that daily as he gave all the glory to God.
He was a humble man.
May you be comforted by the fact that the battle is over and Greg has won. God’s best to you while he is waiting for you to join him.
